After 15 years as an attorney defending corporations at two of the world’s top law firms, the scales fell from my eyes.

Hey, I’m Ray.
As a lawyer, I represent people who’ve been cheated by banks, mistreated by their employers, and deceived by big companies.
In my prior professional life, I was a defense lawyer, defending corporations against lawsuits brought by people just like you.
Some of our nation’s largest banks, creditors, mortgage lenders, FinTech companies, and auto finance companies entrusted me to defend them in highly contentious matters, with tens of millions of dollars at stake in some cases. I excelled at my job, and achieved exceptional results in hundreds of cases.
I did that for 15 years… But over time, I had a change of heart.
It wasn’t as sudden as Jerry’s Maguire’s crisis of conscience (great movie by the way). For me it happened gradually through a period of self-reflection, which led me to reassess my priorities, values, and how I dedicated my time and energy.
I’m always down for a good fight, but occasionally I questioned my side. Who, and what, am I fighting for? And which side really needs me as their advocate ‒ the corporate deep pockets or the People who’ve been wronged by them?
So after some soul-searching (yep, it took a while) I summed up the courage to kick my defense practice to the curb and take on the industries and corporations that I defended for so many years.
Now, I’m on the Your side.
